Ridiculous Quality - Swashplate for Rexroth A4VG

A client of ours once repaired his pump using cheap spares he bought God only knows where - and when the pump stopped pumping after but 10 hours of operation, he knocked on our door...

This useless piece of crap was sold to him as a swashplate for his Rexroth A4VG pump. Notice the ridiculously low quality casting. The original swashplate is supposed to be one piece, this junk, however, is a two piece invention fastened together with low quality bolts. The steel used for the link was so incredibly soft that it gained excessive play and got that oval in a matter of hours!

I suspect that all the "manufacturing" process of this part, casting included, happened in one shed, and most likely only hand tools were used during the "machining and finishing" stage...
