This is a good example of how pressure peaks can damage pumps. In this
case a series 90 Sauer Danfoss closed circuit pump blew out part of the
original valve plate. This is not the best way to break, cause when
such a failure happens the transmission looses its hydrostatic braking
ability at one side of the loop, one more reason to make sure your
machine's secondary braking system is operational.
