    On these pictures you can see an ended Linde BMV140 variable displacement motor, used in a closed loop transmission of a forest crane. These transmissions work in harsh conditions and are often subject to severe pressure peaks, which, in this case, resulted in the cracked end cover.

   It is interesting that, despite the damage, the transmission could still function in one direction, and the machine managed to propel itself for quite a long time to get to the workshop, where the motor was dismounted.
