Charge Pump Friction Welding

This charge pump is from a Sauer Danfoss series 90 special closed loop pump used in a CLAAS harvester, and, as you can see, it got literally welded into one single piece by the friction heat. The initial cause of this failure was extreme oil overheating caused by malfunction of the thermal by-pass of the cooling system.
