     The story behind these pictures is rather curious - the Rexroth A4VG pump is the heart of a closed loop transmission of a small airport luggage towing vehicle. It had suffered a major failure and was completely rebuilt. The whole circuit had been thoroughly cleaned before the start-up, low pressure lines included. The only(!) hose that hadn't been dismounted and cleaned was the hose and the fitting you see on the pictures. The pump blew out (literally!!!) two shaft seals before the line obstruction was discovered. As you may have already guessed - the metal debris blocking the drain line are legacy of the previous failure...
